Unlike many lightweight aftermarket wheels that carry no independent homologation, the GP TEK set holds both DOT E and JWL certification. These are not cosmetic credentials — each standard demands rigorous radial load, lateral load, cornering and torsion testing before a wheel can be approved. That means every set leaving BST's facility has been verified against defined failure thresholds, giving race teams and track-day riders a documented safety baseline rather than a manufacturer's claim alone.

Important: GP TEK wheels are approved exclusively for competition and track use. They are not approved for road registration.

Engineering & Build Quality

The rim structure uses aerospace-grade pre-preg carbon fibre — dry carbon sheets pre-impregnated with resin and cured under controlled heat and pressure. The result is a fibre-to-resin ratio and void content that hand-laid or wet-lay carbon cannot consistently achieve. The 6082 T6 aluminium hub is machined to close tolerances and offers a proven strength-to-weight ratio for high-stress hub interfaces. Titanium Grade 5 hardware connects every assembly point, eliminating the corrosion and creep issues associated with steel fasteners in a high-temperature racing environment. Carbon fibre inner spacers complete the weight-saving programme across the entire rotating assembly.
