Engineering and Construction

Every element of the GP TEK set has been engineered around the demands of competitive motorcycle racing. The pre-preg carbon fibre process used for both the rims and inner spacers ensures consistent fibre orientation and resin content throughout each layer, producing a structure with superior stiffness-to-weight ratios compared to conventional forged aluminium wheels. The 6082 T6 aluminium hub is CNC-machined to exacting tolerances, providing a precisely located interface between the carbon rim and the motorcycle's axle, bearings, and brake components. Titanium Grade 5 fasteners are used at every critical junction, delivering the strength of steel at a fraction of the weight.

Performance on Track

Reducing unsprung mass is one of the most effective ways to improve a motorcycle's dynamic behaviour. Lighter wheels respond faster to suspension inputs, improve tyre contact patch consistency under braking and cornering, and reduce gyroscopic forces that can resist changes in lean angle.
