DescriptionThe whole story▼
If you want consistently dependable stopping power without compromising everyday road use, the Brembo SSP 5.5 brake disc kit for the Ducati Panigale 1199, R and S is one of the most sensible upgrades you can make. Engineered by Brembo to deliver race-derived braking performance in a package that suits both spirited road riding and track days, part number 208B85911 replaces both front discs with a matched pair of floating SuperSport rotors designed specifically for the 2012–2017 Panigale 1199 family.
Key Features
- Floating SuperSport disc design reduces heat transfer to the hub, maintaining consistent feel lap after lap and on long road stints alike.
- 330 mm disc diameter and 5.5 mm thickness are optimised for the Panigale 1199 platform, delivering firm, progressive bite without aggressive pad wear.
- Direct-fit replacement for 1199, 1199 R and 1199 S – no modifications, no adaptors, no guesswork.
- Works at its best when paired with Brembo brake pads, giving the complete Brembo braking system the coherence it was designed around.
- Precision-machined to exacting tolerances, ensuring even pad contact and long service life under demanding use.
Built for the Real World as Much as the Track
The SuperSport series sits between Brembo's OE-equivalent replacements and its full race hardware. That positioning makes it the ideal choice for riders who spend most of their time on the road but want the assurance that their brakes will not fade when the pace picks up. The floating mounting allows the friction ring to expand and contract freely under thermal cycling, which keeps the disc running true and dramatically reduces the risk of judder during spirited back-road use. You get race-proven engineering without sacrificing the predictability you need on the daily commute or a touring run through the mountains.
Precision Engineering by Brembo
Brembo manufactures these discs to the same quality standards that supply factory MotoGP and World Superbike teams. Each rotor in kit 208B85911 is produced from high-grade steel, machined to tight dimensional tolerances and finished to ensure correct calliper clearance straight from the box. The 34 mm friction ring width, 72 mm inner diameter and 90 mm hole-axis diameter are all matched to the Panigale 1199's original specification, so fitment is clean and the braking geometry remains exactly as Ducati intended.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit fits the following models:
- Ducati Panigale 1199 (2012–2017)
- Ducati Panigale 1199 R (2012–2017)
