DescriptionThe whole story▼
Built to the same material specification used in the Superbike World Championship, the Supersport World Championship and MotoGP, the Brembo SBK T-Drive 6.75 Racing Pista Bassa brake disc (part number 08C86933) brings genuine world-level hardware to the Suzuki GSX-R 600/750. Every detail — from the high-grade Inox racing steel to the precisely machined T-Drive carrier — reflects Brembo's most demanding production standards, not an approximation of them.
Key Features
- T-Drive floating mounting system with minimal tolerances ensures consistent, efficient brake force transfer under repeated hard stops, eliminating the judder and lag of conventional floaters.
- Inox racing-grade stainless ring — the same material spec found on SBK and MotoGP machinery — delivers exceptional fade resistance and long service life even under track-day heat cycles.
- 320 mm diameter with a 6.75 mm rotor thickness provides the braking surface area and rigidity demanded by high-performance riding on both road and circuit.
- Low-profile Pista Bassa design reduces unsprung weight and contributes to sharper front-end feel and more responsive steering.
- Direct-fit compatibility with the GSX-R 600/750 (2008–2016) OEM caliper mounts; also compatible with Brembo M4 monobloc calipers and other high-performance caliper upgrades.
- Optimised for use with Brembo Z04 brake pads for a fully matched, race-ready braking system.
T-Drive Technology and Build Quality
Brembo's T-Drive system replaces the conventional pin-float arrangement with a T-shaped drive interface machined to extremely tight tolerances. The result is a floating disc that transfers braking torque directly and uniformly, without the micro-movement and rattle associated with older designs. Under extreme deceleration — whether entering a chicane at a track day or scrubbing speed for a tight road bend — the disc tracks true, the pad contact remains even, and braking feel stays consistent from the first stop to the last.
The Inox ring material is not an off-the-shelf stainless alloy. It is the same race-developed compound Brembo supplies to World Superbike and MotoGP teams, selected for its ability to maintain structural integrity and friction coefficient across a wide temperature range. Compared with standard OEM discs, the SBK-series material resists heat-induced warping and surface glazing, meaning brake feel degrades far more slowly over a long session.
Road and Track Versatility
The Pista Bassa profile keeps the overall disc package compact and lightweight, an advantage on a GSX-R platform where unsprung mass directly influences agility and suspension compliance. On track, the lower rotating mass sharpens turn-in and reduces the gyroscopic effect at corner entry. On the road, everyday usability is fully retained — progressive bite, predictable modulation and low noise when fitted with appropriate pads.
Fitment and Compatibility
This brake disc is engineered specifically for the following models:
- Suzuki GSX-R 600 (2008–2016)
- Suzuki GSX-R 750 (2008–2016)
Compatible with OEM front caliper mounts and Brembo M4 monobloc calipers. Recommended brake pad: Brembo Z04. Supplied as a single brake disc.
