DescriptionThe whole story▼
Paddock parts get handled far more than road parts. An oil cap on a ZX-10RR is removed and refitted between practice sessions, often by someone in a hurry with the wrong tool, and a standard plastic cap does not survive that treatment for long. T002 is a billet aluminium replacement on the M30x1.5 thread, available in seven anodised finishes.
Key Features
- Thread M30x1.5, machined to size rather than moulded.
- Solid aluminium construction, which keeps the tool flats intact through repeated removal.
- Available in black, silver, gold, orange, green, blue and red anodising.
- Anodised against the chemical environment of a race weekend: oil, brake cleaner, fuel, chain lube.
- Bonamici Racing, produced in Italy. Part number T002.
Small Parts, Race-Weekend Reasons
A rounded oil cap on a Saturday morning is a genuine problem, not an inconvenience — the bike cannot go out until the oil level has been checked, and there is no spare cap in the toolbox because nobody plans for one. An aluminium cap with proper flats removes that failure mode entirely. It is the kind of part you buy once and never think about again, which is the highest compliment a paddock item can get.
One Thread, Four Generations
Kawasaki has kept the M30x1.5 filler thread through every ZX-10R engine since 2004, which is why Bonamici can list a single cap across more than two decades of the model. If you move between an older RR and a current one, the cap goes with you.
Fitment and Compatibility
The manufacturer lists it for:
- Kawasaki ZX-10 RR — model years 2004 through 2026
Because fitment is defined by thread size, the same part also covers a range of other machines.
Road Approval
None published, and none needed — an oil filler cap is not an approval-relevant component.
