VS40 is the front fluid reservoir in Bonamici Racing's range: 30 ml, machined aluminium, and supplied as a complete installation rather than a bare bottle. In the box are three different fittings, a rubber diaphragm, a three-piece bracket and a threaded lock ring — which is the difference between a part you can fit on a Saturday and one that sends you looking for hose adapters.

Why the Diaphragm Is Not a Detail
As pads wear, fluid leaves the reservoir and air has to take its place. A rubber diaphragm lets that happen while keeping the atmosphere — and its moisture — out of contact with the fluid itself. Brake fluid absorbs water readily, and water lowers the boiling point, which is how a front brake that felt fine in session one goes soft in session three. Any reservoir worth fitting includes one, and Bonamici supplies it.
The Bracket Does the Real Work
Most disappointment with aftermarket reservoirs comes down to mounting. A fixed bracket puts the bottle at the wrong angle, the hose kinks, and the system traps air that no amount of bleeding will clear. The three-piece bracket here exists so the reservoir can be set at an angle that lets air rise toward the cap, which is what makes a clean bleed possible.

No ABE or EC type-approval is published. This is part of the braking system: on a registered German machine, discuss it with your inspector, and in every case bleed and test the brakes thoroughly before riding.
