DescriptionThe whole story▼
On the track, an inadvertent knock to the brake lever can mean the difference between a clean lap and a crashed session. The Bonamici Racing Brake Lever Guard EVO LPRR2 eliminates that risk for Kawasaki Ninja 400 riders from 2018 to 2023, delivering race-proven protection in a CNC-milled aluminium shell that is as aerodynamically refined as it is robust.
Key Features
- CNC-milled aluminium construction — precision-machined for maximum strength with minimal added mass, purpose-built for racing demands.
- Aerodynamic EVO profile — shaped to channel airflow cleanly at speed, contributing to front-end stability during high-speed braking and cornering.
- Prevents accidental brake activation — guards the lever against contact from rider gear, marshal barriers, or rival machinery in close-quarters racing.
- Plug-and-play fitment via included ADLRR_U adapter — mounts directly to the OEM handlebar on the Ninja 400 with zero modification required.
- Eight anodised colour options — match your livery or stand out on the grid with finishes from stealth black to championship gold.
- 100% Made in Italy — every Bonamici Racing component is produced and quality-checked in Italy to exacting motorsport standards.
Track-Focused Engineering
Bonamici Racing developed the Brake Lever Guard EVO series specifically with circuit use in mind. The LPRR2 sits on the right-hand side of the cockpit, shielding the brake lever from any unintended input during the chaos of a race start, a close overtake, or a tip-over in the paddock. The guard's rigid aluminium body transfers impacts away from the lever mechanism, keeping the braking system fully operational when it matters most.
The aerodynamic profile is not merely cosmetic. At the speeds a Ninja 400 is capable of — whether in a Supersport-class sprint or a spirited road ride — the EVO's sculpted form reduces turbulence around the lever area and contributes to the clean, composed feel that distinguishes a properly set-up race machine from a standard road bike.
Road Compatibility
While the LPRR2 is engineered for track environments, its protective function translates directly to road riding. Dense urban traffic, unexpected contact in car parks, and the rigours of everyday sport riding all present scenarios where lever protection pays dividends. The guard fits within the original cockpit footprint and does not interfere with normal lever operation.
Fitment & Compatibility
The Bonamici Racing LPRR2 Brake Lever Guard EVO is designed exclusively for the following model:
- Kawasaki Ninja 400 — model years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023
Fitment is achieved via the dedicated ADLRR_U adapter, which interfaces with the OEM handlebar directly. No drilling, welding, or aftermarket handlebar is required.
