DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Arrow Pro-Race 71894PRI is built for riders who demand race-derived exhaust performance from their Yamaha YZF-R3. Weighing just 1.43 kg in full stainless steel construction, this slip-on silencer sharpens throttle response and reduces unsprung mass — tangible gains whether you are chasing lap times or simply want the most responsive version of your R3 on the road.
Key Features
- Full stainless steel construction throughout — body, end cap and internals — for exceptional heat resistance and long-term durability across hard track sessions and daily road use alike.
- Weighs only 1.43 kg, directly improving throttle response and overall handling balance compared to the heavier stock unit.
- E-mark road approval included, so the silencer is fully street-legal straight out of the box.
- Removable dB killer supplied for straightforward noise compliance on the road, while allowing unrestricted sound on private circuits.
- 250 mm silencer length with a 45 mm inlet and 68 mm outlet, engineered to optimise exhaust flow and mid-to-top-end power delivery on the YZF-R3 engine.
- Arrow recommend pairing this silencer with a dedicated ECU map to extract the full performance benefit and sharpen fuelling across the rev range.
Performance on Track and Road
The Pro-Race name is not marketing language — Arrow designed this silencer around the flow requirements of the YZF-R3 parallel twin in its 2019-2020 specification. The 45 mm inlet manages exhaust gas velocity at low to mid revs, while the enlarged 68 mm outlet releases back-pressure at the top end. The result is a broader, more usable power curve that rewards both corner-exit drives on a circuit and fast road riding. At 1.43 kg the weight saving over the original unit is immediately felt when the bike changes direction.
Stainless steel is the material of choice for riders who use their machine hard. It tolerates the thermal cycling of track days without discolouring prematurely, and resists the corrosion that shortens the life of cheaper alternatives in wet-weather road use. Every component from the canister walls to the perforated inner sleeve and the end cap is fabricated in stainless steel, so there are no mixed-material weak points.
Street Legality
The 71894PRI carries an E-mark homologation, meaning it satisfies European road-noise and emissions regulations when the supplied dB killer is fitted. Removing the dB killer for track days is straightforward, and the fitment process for the silencer itself requires no permanent modification to the YZF-R3 — a direct bolt-on replacement for the original unit.
