The Albek Skytrail 51 Duffel in Covert Black is a 51-litre holdall that turns into a backpack when the walk from the car park gets long. It suits riders heading to a mountain bike trip, a race day at the track or a weekend away, and it keeps a full-face helmet in its own padded section instead of loose on top of your kit.
At 1.55 kg empty, the black Skytrail stays light enough to wear on your back, yet opens like a proper duffel for bulky gear.

Compartments and organisation
Inside the Covert Black version, separate gear compartments split clean clothes from riding kit, while divided sections keep smaller items from drifting to the bottom. Gloves, a neck tube or spare levers sit in elastic pockets, and a dedicated organiser holds a multitool, cables and a power bank so you are not digging through 51 litres to find them. Vented compartments let damp gear breathe after the ride.
Carrying options
For short distances you grab the bag by its padded Albek Cush handles. When the trailhead or the hotel is further away, the backpack straps come out of their stowed position and the weight moves onto your shoulders. A padded shoulder strap can be clipped on for a cross-body carry or removed completely, and the pass-thru sleeve slides the duffel over the telescopic handle of a wheeled suitcase at the airport.
Materials and build
The body combines matte 600D Oxford fabric with 1000D tarpaulin in the areas that take the most abuse. Fittings are made of aluminium alloy rather than plastic. MOLLE loops on the outside give you anchor points for extra pouches or a light jacket strapped to the shell.
What you should know
Albek does not describe the Skytrail 51 as waterproof, so protect electronics separately if the bag travels in an open pickup bed. There are no wheels; a full load of riding gear is carried by hand, on the shoulder or on your back. The embroidery zone is there for names or logos. Albek covers defects in material and workmanship with a limited lifetime warranty for the original buyer who keeps the proof of purchase.
Colour
Covert Black is the low-key choice: mud splashes, chain lube smudges and pit dust are far less visible on black than on lighter shades, and the bag looks equally at home in a van at the track and in an office corridor on Monday. The downside is that black bags look alike on a crowded luggage belt, so a name tag helps you spot yours.
