Grey with orange highlights, the Steel Grey Meridian from Albek suits riders who train several times a week and need a bag that copes with mud on the way in and wet kit on the way out. It holds 165 litres and rolls on its own wheels.

Dirty and clean, kept apart
After a muddy session the boots and knee braces go straight into their lower compartment. Because its waterproof liner can be removed, you can hose it out at home instead of scrubbing the whole Steel Grey bag. Clean jerseys, pants and spare kits stay up in the main compartment, while a separate section is reserved for chest protector and base layers.
Protecting helmet and goggles
The helmet rides in a padded compartment that also takes protectors. Goggles have an integrated vault, and a second small pocket next to it stores lenses and roll-offs, so nothing scratches against buckles. Gloves go into elastic pockets that fit several pairs.
Moving 165 litres
Pull the telescopic handle and the Meridian rolls on robust wheels mounted to a light moulded base. The Albek Cush handle gives a padded grip for lifting into a car boot. Albek quotes 5.22 kg empty and claims this is about 30 % lighter than rival bags.
Built for abrasion
Matt 600D polyester covers most of the bag, combined with 1680D ballistic nylon in a tougher weave. The fold-away change mat is listed as 100 % waterproof and gives you a dry place to stand while changing. An embroidery zone is fitted as well.
Warranty for the long run
A grey Meridian that gets used three times a week will age, and Albek backs it with a limited lifetime warranty. It applies to defects in materials and workmanship, is valid for the first owner and requires proof of purchase, so file the invoice somewhere safe.
What you should know
Apart from the boot liner and the change mat, the Meridian is not waterproof, so heavy rain on the paddock can still reach the main compartment. It is not designed for use on a moving motorcycle. Its 5.22 kg empty weight adds up quickly once three kits are inside.
Colour
Steel Grey is a mid-tone grey lifted by orange accents. Grey is a practical middle ground: it hides grime better than bright colours yet looks less severe than black. Light-coloured dust and white chalky mud can show, but darker splashes tend to blend in, and the orange makes it easier to pick out in a stack of luggage.
