With 100 litres of volume, wheels and a monocoque base, it is a checked travel bag for weeks away, race trips with a full set of kit or a long holiday where weight matters.

Built light
Albek puts the empty weight at 4.4 kg and describes it as around 30 % lighter than rival bags. Much of that comes from the moulded monocoque base, which gives the bag its shape without a heavy frame. Outer fabrics are 600D polyester and 1680D ballistic, and the overall size is 76 × 37 × 36 cm (height × width × depth).
Inside the Burgundy Long Haul
Clear mesh dividers split the big main compartment into zones you can see into, so the riding jersey does not end up underneath the toiletry bag. Multiple other compartments add structure. An access pocket that opens both inside and out takes boarding passes, chargers or a book on the go.
Travel details
Lockable #10 zips give you the option to secure the bag with a lock of your own choice. Compression straps on the sides tighten the load, the ID tag carries your address, and padded Albek Cush handles make the wine-red case easier to haul off the belt. For long walks through the airport, pull out the laser-engraved telescopic handle and let the Albek Izuma wheels roll; they are replaceable when worn.
On a race trip
Away at a race, the mesh zones keep riding gear apart from evening clothes, and the compression straps stop a half-packed Burgundy Long Haul from slumping on the return flight.
What you should know
This is a hold bag: its 76 cm height and 100-litre capacity are well beyond typical cabin limits, and a full load can push past the weight allowance on many fares, so weigh it before you leave. Albek does not describe the Long Haul as waterproof, and no lock is mentioned in the box. There is an embroidery zone for names or logos. Albek grants the original purchaser a limited lifetime warranty on defects in material and workmanship with proof of purchase.
Colour
Burgundy combines a deep wine red with black, which keeps the look smart while standing out from a row of black cases. The black elements help disguise belt and boot scuffs, and the red panels make the bag quick to spot. Light dust will show a little more on the red parts than on Covert Black, and a damp cloth is all it takes to clean them.
