Design, Finish and Heritage
Akrapovic's engineering legacy is embedded in every weld of this header. The V4A stainless steel construction is chosen for its resistance to the extreme thermal cycles a litre-class inline-four generates under hard track use, while the 4-2-1 collector geometry is derived directly from race-proven layouts developed in series competition. The finish carries that characteristic satin-brushed stainless appearance — understated against the CBR's fairing, purposeful in the paddock.
Upgrading from the stock header is one of the most effective single modifications available for the SC77-generation CBR 1000 RR. By pairing this header with an Akrapovic Slip-On or full system mid-pipe and silencer, the entire exhaust path is optimised for flow, and the performance figures speak directly to that: 6.5 additional horsepower and 6.3 Nm of additional torque are not marginal gains at this level of the market.
Track Use Notice
This header is designed exclusively for closed-circuit competition and track-day use. It carries no road homologation and must not be used on public roads. An optional catalytic converter is available separately should your track series or circuit impose emissions requirements.
