DescriptionThe whole story▼
One motorcycle, and the one in this range where the pegs matter most. The Ténéré 700 is ridden standing more than any other bike Akrapovic makes this set for — it is a rally machine with lights and a number plate, and its owners use it that way.
Key Features
- Cast in one piece from Grade 5 titanium in Akrapovic's own foundry
- Octagonal profile with a Y-shaped reinforcement
- Central teeth and a wide surface for control and traction on trails
- Designed for standing and heel-down riding on enduro terrain
- A pair of rubber pads included, fitted without tools
- Covers every Ténéré 700 version from 2019 to 2026
- The original mounting hardware must be reused
The Standard Pegs Are the Weak Point
Yamaha built the Ténéré 700 to a price, and the footpegs are one of the places that shows. They are narrow, they have rubber inserts aimed at road comfort, and the first thing a great many owners do is replace them.
Akrapovic's answer inverts the priority: a wide toothed platform for the trail, with rubber pads in the box for when the road section demands them. The bike gets both without a compromise baked into the casting.
Heel Down
Akrapovic names heel-down riding specifically. It is the position a rider takes on a steep descent or in deep ruts — heels dropped, weight back, feet gripping the pegs to keep the bike underneath them. A peg that is too narrow puts all of that through a single edge.
The wide surface with teeth in the middle is what makes the position hold. This is not a styling part.
Every Version
Yamaha has sold the Ténéré 700 in standard form and as the Rally, Extreme and World Raid, with different suspension, tanks and seat heights. The footpeg mount is common to all of them, and this set covers the range from 2019 through 2026.
Tested Where It Is Used
Akrapovic states the set was tested and developed in real conditions. On a part like this that claim carries weight: a footpeg either survives being landed on and levered against rocks, or it does not, and no dyno figure will tell you which.
Fitting Notice
The original mounting hardware must be reused. Keep the pins and clips when the standard pegs come off.
One Model, Eight Years
Yamaha has left the Ténéré 700 fundamentally alone since 2019 — a rare thing in a segment where most manufacturers revise annually. The consequence is that a 2019 machine and a 2026 World Raid take the same footpegs, and a set bought today will fit whatever T7 comes next in the same family.
What the Standard Pegs Give Up
Yamaha's originals have a removable rubber insert, which is the industry's usual compromise: comfortable on tarmac, and once the insert is out, a narrow steel peg with modest teeth underneath. Many owners ride with the inserts removed permanently.
Akrapovic starts from the other end. The peg is designed as an off-road platform first, and the road solution is an addition rather than a subtraction. That is a better order of priorities for a bike like this one.
