DescriptionThe whole story▼
At the far end of Accossato's range for the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC rear, listed from 2019 to 2023, sits the AGPA92 pad in ZXC ceramic racing compound. It is a ceramic mixture intended for racing, and it only makes sense on an XC that is prepared for competition and whose brake setup is being refined over a weekend. For road riding and gravel trips it is the wrong choice, and we would rather say so than let anyone buy it by mistake.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes ZXC as a ceramic compound it considers ideal for racing. It is the most specialised version of this plate. It is designed for the temperatures and loads of competition and is not suited to cold starts, commuting or dirt tracks.
Refining the Setup
In competition, small changes can make a difference, and the brake setup is one area riders and mechanics adjust between sessions. Trying ZXC in one session and EV2 in the next, then comparing how each behaves into the slowest corners, is the only reliable way to find out which suits your riding. On an XC prepared for an event, the rear brake is used more than on a light racing bike, so the choice of rear compound deserves attention. Write down what you ran and what you felt.
Paddock Routine
Strip dirt from the rear caliper before the event, since an XC may arrive with trail dust still in it. Refresh the fluid, seat both pads and press the pedal until the travel is short and firm. During the first outing, run a series of steadily harder stops to bed the pads, and look at their surface and thickness whenever the bike comes back to the pit.
Fitment and Compatibility
In the Accossato catalogue the Scrambler 1200 XC of 2019 to 2023 takes AGPA92 at the rear, and DK203 is the listed disc. No front pad for the XC appears here. The box contains the rear set.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German test certificate for AGPA92ZXC in our files. It is intended for racing only.
Scope of Delivery
