Accossato also offers the AGPA42 rear pad in its ZXC ceramic racing compound, article AGPA42ZXC, and catalogues it for the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 from 2014 to 2025. On a sport tourer this is a pad for a specific job: circuit days or competition events where the owner wants the rear brake on a racing footing to match the front. For touring and everyday riding the other compounds of this plate are more appropriate.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls ZXC a ceramic compound that is ideal for racing, and it does not publish more about its formulation. We therefore make no claims beyond that. The maker's general promise of long life, strong stopping and fade held off by limited heating applies to this compound as well. The ceramic layer sits on the AGPA42 plate used at the rear of the Turismo Veloce.
Rear Brake on Track Days
On a circuit a heavy sport tourer benefits from a little rear brake on the way into slow corners, which helps stop the chassis pitching and the rear from moving around. For that the rider wants the same bite every session. A racing compound at the rear keeps the balance of the bike consistent with a racing pad at the front.
Remember to swap back to a road mixture before a trip, because a pad chosen for circuit loads is not the natural partner for a loaded tourer on a cold, wet morning. Keep the removed pads marked, clean the caliper when changing and pump the pedal until firm before riding.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA42 is listed by Accossato for the rear of the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 from 2014 to 2025, including the Lusso RC SCS. The front pad AGPA177 covers 2014 to 2019, and no Accossato disc is listed for this model. The single rear caliper needs one box.
