Accossato's AGPA42 rear pad in the ZXC ceramic racing compound, article AGPA42ZXC, is catalogued for the MV Agusta Superveloce 800 from 2014 to 2025. It is designed for riders who take the retro-styled three-cylinder onto a circuit and use the rear brake precisely to settle the bike on corner entry.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes ZXC as a ceramic compound ideal for racing and gives no further detail on its make-up, so we add none. The intended use is circuit competition, where the rear brake is used lightly but often. The maker's general promises of slow wear, strong stopping power and heat kept in check to limit fade apply to this pad as well. The ceramic layer is bonded to the AGPA42 backing plate.
Rear Control at Race Pace
On a track the rear brake is a subtle tool. A light touch while braking hard for a slow corner can stop the rear from wandering, and some riders use it to tighten their line mid-corner. For that to work, the pad needs to bite the same way in every session, so the rider's foot can learn the feel.
Rear pads on a race bike can wear faster than expected. Check them after each day, clean the piston before pushing it back and ensure the pedal returns freely and has no excess play.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPA42 for the rear of the MV Agusta Superveloce 800 from 2014 to 2025. As this is wider than the model's own production run, compare the old pad with the new one before fitting. The front pad for the Superveloce, AGPA106, is listed for 2019 only, and no Accossato disc is offered. One box is enough for the single rear caliper.
