For an Indian FTR 1200 used in racing, Accossato lists the AGPA42 rear pad from 2019 to 2025 in ZXC ceramic racing, a ceramic compound designed for competition. Racers use the rear brake to stabilise the bike on corner entry and, on a flat-track-inspired machine, sometimes to help it turn. This pad suits riders who set up the FTR 1200 for the circuit and want a rear brake that behaves consistently once hot.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls ZXC a ceramic compound ideal for racing. At the rear, that means a pad that holds its character when the brake is worked hard lap after lap, rather than one optimised for quiet commuting. The ceramic base gives it a specific feel that racers choose deliberately. Like the brand's other pads, it is designed with limited wear and heat control in mind.
Rear Brake as a Racing Tool
On track, a light touch of rear brake on corner entry can calm the FTR 1200 and help it hold a tighter line. That requires a pad that responds precisely and predictably, even after many laps. ZXC is designed for that environment. Between sessions, check pad thickness and disc condition, and clean dust from the caliper. Bed in new pads on an out-lap, and adjust pedal height if the rider's position has changed for racing. Many riders find that rear brake use changes as the tyres wear during a race, so it is worth paying attention to how the pedal feels in the final laps and discussing it with the crew afterwards. On a bike with a strong twin such as the FTR 1200, engine braking also plays a part, and the rear pad has to blend with it smoothly.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA42 for the rear of the FTR 1200 from 2019 to 2025, with AGPA177 at the front. The rear pad is also available as OR and ST. One box contains a set for one caliper, which covers the rear brake. Clean the piston before pushing it back.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or approval papers for this ceramic rear pad; Inter-Pace offers it strictly for racing and competition.
