DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of Honda CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblades from 2020 to 2024 end up prepared for the track, and on a racing bike the rear brake is a setup item like any other. Riders use it to settle the chassis on corner entry and to control the bike on hard stops. Accossato's article AGPA42ZXC puts the ZXC ceramic racing mixture on the AGPA42 rear shape. The company calls it a ceramic compound ideal for racing, and it is intended for teams that want a racing-specific material at the back as well as at the front.
Key Features
- ZXC ceramic racing rear pads for the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, 2020 to 2024
- Article AGPA42ZXC
- Ceramic compound designated by Accossato for racing
- For riders who use the rear brake actively on track
- One box fits the single rear caliper
- OR and ST alternatives on the same shape
- No German ABE on file, sold for circuit use
Construction and Material Quality
The ZXC is Accossato's ceramic racing material, and the company presents it as a pad for the track. On a race-prepared RR-R, the rear sees short, precise applications at high speed, and a racing compound is designed for exactly that work. The general qualities Accossato claims for its pads are low wear, reduced fade through controlled heat and strong stopping power. The AGPA42 carrier is the same for all three mixtures, so changing from a road pad before a race weekend is straightforward.
Rear Pad Setup in the Garage
When a team prepares a CBR 1000 RR-R for a meeting, the rear brake gets the same attention as the front. The pedal height is set to suit the rider's boot, the lever ratio is checked, and the pad is chosen for how much the rider uses the rear. Some riders barely touch it; others use it on every corner entry. A racing compound suits the second group.
Between sessions, check pad thickness and look for glazing on the disc. Change the rear fluid regularly, as heat from the exhaust can affect it. When fitting new pads, clean the piston before pushing it back and press the pedal until it is firm. A lap of gentle use beds the pads in before the rider asks for full effort.
Fitment and Compatibility
The article fits the rear of the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R from 2020 to 2024. There is one rear caliper, so one box covers it. For the front, Accossato lists three articles for this model: the AGPA291 for 2020 to 2023, the AGPA884 for 2020 to 2025 and the AGPA106 for 2024. The DKS040 disc is also listed.
Road Approval
No ABE or German test mark accompanies this ceramic rear article, so we sell it for competition only.
Scope of Delivery
