Club events are often run on a shared machine. Two riders put their names down, split the entry and the fuel, and take alternate sessions on one motorcycle all weekend. The bike ends up with two sets of habits in it, and the rear brake notices before anything else does. Accossato's ceramic option for that caliper on the Ducati SuperSport 950 is the ZXC ceramic racing compound on the AGPA42 pad, article AGPA42ZXC, listed for the machine from 2020 to 2024.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's own note runs to half a line: a ceramic compound intended for racing. Applied to a rear pad, the interesting consequence is not outright power but behaviour after repeated use, because a rear caliper is small, tucked behind a wheel and poorly cooled, and it is asked to do its work in short bursts with no recovery. The carrier under the friction layer is the standard AGPA42 plate used by every version of this article. A team can therefore move a SuperSport 950 from a road material to this one for a weekend, and back again on Monday, with nothing else in the caliper changing.
Two Riders, One Machine
Shared bikes wear oddly, and the rear brake is where it shows. One rider barely touches the pedal; the other steadies the machine with it on every corner entry and holds it on the slope of the paddock. The pads come out at the end of the weekend looking as though they have done two different jobs, because they have. Neither approach is wrong, but a set chosen for one style will be assessed by both.
Agree a routine and the weekend goes better. One person checks the pads and fluid before each day and says out loud what they found. Both riders use the same pedal position rather than moving it between sessions, or at least agree that it gets reset. Write down when the material went in, because a shared machine loses track of its own history faster than a private one. At the end of the event, look at the wear on both pads of the SuperSport 950 together and decide as a pair whether they are going back in the van or into the bin.
Fitment and Compatibility
The rear listing for the SuperSport 950 covers 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, a single caliper meaning a single box. Should the front be due at the same time, the AGPA177 is the article for those years, and two boxes are needed there because the wheel runs two calipers. Accossato's disc list for this bike holds the DK053 and the DKS053, which are different parts. The pad shape carries other models too, so an order with the article number on it is the one that arrives correct.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE behind the AGPA42ZXC and no inspection paperwork in our records, so it is sold for racing and closed-course riding only.
