A race weekend runs on routine. The same checks happen at the same points, in the same order, and the parts that get overlooked are the ones nobody wrote on the list. The rear brake is usually one of them, right up until a dragging pedal costs a session. Accossato offers its ZXC ceramic racing material for the rear of the Ducati Monster 937 as article AGPA42ZXC on the AGPA42 shape, describing the compound as ceramic and intended for racing, and lists it for 2021 to 2024.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato identifies the material as ceramic and the purpose as racing, and adds nothing further. At the rear that is less of a limitation than it sounds, because what a rider wants from the back brake on a circuit is a repeatable response rather than a headline. Fitting is reassuringly unremarkable: the AGPA42 plate is common to every compound in the family, so the pedal feels the way it was set up to feel and nothing has to be adjusted when the material changes.
The Back Brake in a Weekend Routine
Write the rear caliper into the checklist and it stops causing problems. Between sessions it takes half a minute to confirm that the pedal comes back cleanly, that nothing is holding it down, and that both pads still have material on them. A Monster 937 used on track will wear the rear faster than an owner expects, partly because the pedal is used to steady the bike on the way into slow corners and partly because a small disc has nowhere to put the heat.
The rest of the routine is familiar. Keep the disc free of chain lubricant when the paddock job gets done in a hurry. Check that the caliper is sliding rather than sitting fixed on one side. Clean around the pistons before they are pushed back at a change, bed a new set in during the out lap, and make sure the pedal is pumped firm before the bike leaves the awning for a timed session.
Fitment and Compatibility
The rear listing covers the Monster 937 and the 937 Plus for the years 2021 to 2024. With one caliper at that end, one box finishes the axle. Front pads for the same machine and the same seasons are the AGPA177, needing two boxes for the two calipers, and Accossato catalogues the DK008 and DKS053 discs for the model. As the shape serves several bikes, the article number is the part of the label that matters.
