Rear brakes attract very little attention in a paddock, which is not the same as saying they do nothing. A rider settling the CFMOTO CL-X 700 SPORT into a slow corner, or steadying it on the way down the pit lane, is using the pedal, and on a circuit those inputs are small and deliberate. Accossato's ZXC ceramic racing mixture is offered on the AGPA42 rear pad of this roadster for the 2022 model year, for machines that spend their weekends on closed courses.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the mixture in a handful of words: ceramic, and made for racing. Nothing beyond that has been documented to us, so nothing beyond it will be claimed here. What we can stand behind is mechanical. This is the standard AGPA42 carrier, the outline is unchanged, it fits the rear caliper of the CL-X 700 SPORT as delivered, and a box contains the two pads that caliper takes, which at the back of a motorcycle is usually the whole job.
Small Inputs at the Back
On a circuit the rear brake is used lightly and seldom, and that creates a difficulty of its own: material which is hardly worked can sit untouched for most of a session and then be asked for something precise on the lap where it finally counts. Riders who use the pedal deliberately, to steady the bike on the way in, to hold it against the engine through a slow corner, to keep things tidy when the rear wheel goes light, want an answer the first time rather than the third.
The back of the machine deserves the same pre-event attention as the front and usually receives a fraction of it. Check pedal height and free play before the first session, because a rear brake touching a turning wheel will be hot and glazed by lunchtime. Look at these pads while the front ones are out. Keep the disc clean, especially after the chain has been oiled. And let a new pair have a few deliberate stops during the week rather than finding out about them on a warm-up lap.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues the AGPA42 for the rear wheel of the CFMOTO CL-X 700 SPORT in 2022: a single season and a single machine. We keep the listing that tight deliberately. Both pads of the caliper are changed together, one box being that pair, and a rear wheel of this type normally carries one caliper. The front of the same roadster is covered by the AGPA106 across the same year, while the Accossato disc programme has nothing for this model.
