Anybody who has run out of rear pads on a Sunday morning carries a spare set afterwards. It is the smallest box in the toolbox and the one that saves the day. For a BMW R1250R used in competition, Accossato's AGPA92 is available in the ZXC ceramic racing compound, described by the manufacturer as a ceramic material for racing, and listed for the roadster from 2019 to 2024.

Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato says about the ZXC amounts to one sentence: it is a ceramic compound suited to racing. The company has been making brake components since the late 1960s and has never been inclined to write essays about its materials, preferring to let a session on track make the argument. The part itself needs no introduction to anyone who has changed an AGPA92 before, because the outline, the plate and the fitting are unchanged, and the box holds the two pads the rear caliper wants.
A Spare Set in the Toolbox
Planning for a weekend of competition is mostly about avoiding surprises. Rear pads are cheap, they take a few minutes to change on an R1250R, and a set that is half worn on Saturday evening will not last through Sunday, so most people carry a second box and fit it when the material starts to look thin. Doing the job in a paddock is straightforward if the tools are there: something to clean the pistons before they are pushed back, a rag for the disc, and enough patience to pump the pedal firm again before the bike leaves the awning. Label the box with the date it went in. At the end of the season that scribble is the only honest record of how long a set really lasted.
Fitment and Compatibility
The R1250R of 2019 to 2024 is the machine on Accossato's list for this rear pad, and the entry does not extend to the rest of the boxer range. One box is a complete change, since the rear wheel has a single caliper, and the pads go in as a pair. At the front the AGPA177 covers the same model years, the DK006 is the disc Accossato offers, and OR, ST, EV1 and EV2 are the alternatives on this outline for riders who do not need a racing material.
