A large four-cylinder engine brakes the bike for you whether you ask it to or not. Shut the throttle on a Tuono V4 1100, come down two gears into a corner, and the back wheel is already being slowed hard before the pedal is touched at all; the rider's job is to add to that smoothly rather than to fight it. Accossato presses its ZXC ceramic racing compound into the AGPA42 pad that fits the rear caliper of the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 of 2015.

Construction and Material Quality
ZXC ceramic racing is the ceramic material in the Accossato programme, and the firm presents it without elaboration as a compound made for racing. Putting it at the rear of a V4 has a logic of its own: the pedal is used with the ball of the foot for fine corrections, so the quality a rider wants is a predictable response rather than a violent one, and a material that answers the same way after twenty minutes of circulating is easier to lean on. The plate is the usual AGPA42 pattern for the original rear caliper of the Tuono V4 1100, which means a team can change compound between sessions without touching anything else on the bike.
A Closed Throttle and the Rear Pedal
Riders coming to a big V4 from a twin are often surprised by how much slowing the engine does on a closed throttle, and by how easily the rear wheel can be made to hop if the downshifts are rushed. The rear brake becomes a balancing instrument in that situation: a touch of pedal keeps the bike straight and the chassis settled while the clutch is fed out, and too much of it simply adds to a wheel that is already near its limit. That kind of riding wears the rear pads in a thin, steady way rather than in dramatic bursts, so check them between sessions instead of trusting the mileage. Make sure the pedal comes up firm after any pad change, and give a new set a controlled run before the first hard lap.
Fitment and Compatibility
The catalogue entry covers the rear wheel of the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 of 2015; the Factory and RR versions appear elsewhere in the list with their own years, which do not all match this one. A single box completes the rear brake. Accossato's front pad for the same machine is the AGPA177, available in the same choice of compounds, and the DKS032 disc is listed for the bike as well, so a rider preparing it for a meeting can take the whole braking job from one catalogue.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE for this pad in our documentation and no approval mark on it. That is consistent with a ceramic racing material, and we supply it for competition only.
