DescriptionThe whole story▼
The ZXC ceramic racing compound is a specialist option that Accossato also offers for the Yamaha XT1200Z SUPER TENERE of 2010 to 2019, on its AGPA97 front pad, SKU AGPA97ZXC. It is aimed at owners who have turned their adventure bike into a competition machine for circuit events and who want a ceramic front pad as part of a carefully developed setup, adjusted and reviewed over the course of a race weekend together with tyres and suspension.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes ZXC as a ceramic compound ideal for racing. On an XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, it is meant for competition use rather than touring. We give no material shares, temperatures or other figures, and stay with the manufacturer's own description. Accossato took an Enduro world title in 1985 and still makes brake parts near Turin.
Setup Notes Between Sessions
Riders on ZXC ceramic racing usually keep notes on how the brake behaved in each session: where the lever felt firm, where they needed more pressure, how the pads looked afterwards. On a competition XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, that information helps decide whether to change anything before the next run. Keep the caliper clean, check that the pistons move freely and have spare pads in the paddock. A tall, heavy machine also rewards careful warm-up laps, so give the new pads time to come up to working condition before the first flying lap. EV2 is the non-ceramic racing version, while EV1 suits a mix of road and occasional track use.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this ceramic front pad for the Yamaha XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, 2010 to 2019, also as XTZ 1200 SUPER TENERE. The bike's twin front calipers require two boxes. For the rear of the XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, Accossato supplies AGPP121 for the same years. Keep the disc surface clean and grease-free, change both front sides together and bed in the new pads before full-pace sessions.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or approval certificate for these pads in our files, so we sell them for racing purposes.
Scope of Delivery
Two ZXC ceramic racing pads in one box, enough for one caliper.
