DescriptionThe whole story▼
The AGPA97ZXC puts Accossato's ceramic racing material on the front plate of the Yamaha MT-09 Street Rally from 2014 to 2016. The ZXC ceramic racing compound is aimed at a Street Rally that now lives on the circuit, and at an owner who likes to have a choice of pads for different tracks and conditions. Where a road rider picks one pad and forgets about it, a track rider may carry two or three and change between them as the weekend develops.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Yamaha MT-09 Street Rally, 2014 to 2016
- Article AGPA97ZXC in ZXC ceramic racing compound
- Accossato calls it a ceramic compound ideal for racing
- For a Street Rally used on track, as an alternative racing pad
- Two pads per box, one caliper's set
- Two front calipers, so order two boxes
- Same plate made as OR, ST, EV1 and EV2
- No German ABE on file; for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's ZXC is its ceramic material, described by the company as ideal for racing. It uses the Street Rally's AGPA97 plate, so switching to it from another compound is a normal pad change. For riders who want to compare materials, it gives a distinct option. Accossato's general aim of keeping heat under control to limit fade runs through this compound too.
Matching the Pad to the Circuit
Circuits differ greatly in how they use the brakes. A track with long straights ending in tight hairpins demands big, repeated stops from high speed, while a flowing layout with fast sweepers asks for lighter, more delicate braking. On a Street Rally used for track days and club events, having a ceramic set alongside another racing pad lets the rider adapt. Try each set at a circuit you know well so that differences in feel are easy to spot. Keep notes on wear rates at each venue and store spare sets clean and dry in labelled bags.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Street Rally built between 2014 and 2016, Accossato's catalogue names the AGPA97 up front and the AGPP88 behind. Since there is a caliper on each front disc, a front change uses two boxes, and both sides must be done together. Clean the pistons carefully, look at both discs for heat marks, and fill with fresh fluid. Accossato also offers the DK077 and DKS073 discs for this model. Bed in the ceramic pads during the first session.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE, test certificate or approval mark for this ceramic pad in our files. The AGPA97ZXC is sold for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two Accossato AGPA97 pads in ZXC ceramic racing compound, one set for one front caliper of the Street Rally.
