DescriptionThe whole story▼
For teams who race a Suzuki DL800 V-Strom SE and want to test every part of the brake set-up, Accossato offers a ceramic option. AGPA38 in the ZXC ceramic racing mixture is the front pad for the DL800 V-Strom SE from 2024 to 2026. It is meant for use at the circuit, where the team can compare it with other pads over a weekend and decide which suits the rider and the track.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls ZXC a ceramic compound that is ideal for racing. It is the most specialised mixture in the range. The company, which won an enduro world title in 1985, also points to slow wear, restrained heat and strong stopping power as general features.
Comparing Pads over a Weekend
Testing pads properly takes discipline. A team running a V-Strom SE might use its usual pads in the first session and switch to ZXC for the second, keeping everything else the same. The rider notes how quickly the brake bites, how it feels while trail-braking and how it releases. The mechanic writes down lever position, pad thickness and any change in lever travel. Before each switch, clean the discs and the pistons, and pump the lever until it is firm. At the end of the weekend, the log shows which pad worked better on that circuit. Ceramic pads can feel different from what a rider is used to, so give the rider a few laps to adapt before judging. Tyre choice, track temperature and fork settings all influence the result, which is why a fair test keeps them fixed. Teams that race at several venues often find that the answer changes from one circuit to the next, and keep a set of both pads in the van.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA38 for the DL 800 V-Strom SE from 2024 to 2026. Each front caliper needs its own box, so check your bike before ordering. The rear pad is AGPP88. Other mixtures on this front plate are Sintered, EV1 and EV2.
Road Approval
AGPA38ZXC comes without an ABE or German test certificate in our files. It is intended for racing.
