DescriptionThe whole story▼
Race teams that run a Norton Commando 961 SF often bring more than one set of pads to a meeting and choose on the day. Accossato's AGPA112 front pad in ZXC ceramic racing, listed for the Commando 961 SF from 2013 to 2015, is one of those options. It is a ceramic racing compound for teams who fine-tune the front brake during a weekend to suit the circuit, the weather and the rider.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes ZXC as a ceramic mixture ideally suited to racing. It is designed for the heat of the circuit and for a consistent bite throughout the session. Accossato's aim of long life and limited fade applies to this compound as well.
Choosing a Compound on Race Day
Every circuit places different demands on the brakes. A track with long straights and hard stops heats the pads more than a flowing circuit with fast corners. A team with a Commando 961 SF may therefore run one compound in practice and a different one in the race, depending on what the rider reports. ZXC ceramic racing gives the team an additional option to work with. To compare compounds reliably, change only the pads and keep everything else the same, then ask the rider about initial bite, lever feel and consistency. Fitting takes minutes: clean the pistons, press them back, insert the pads and pump the lever until it is firm. Mark each set so that you know which pads have been used in which session.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's catalogue gives AGPA112 for the front of the Commando 961 SF from 2013 to 2015 and AGPA42 for the rear. The front plate is also made as EV2 racing, which teams often test alongside the ceramic version. Check how many front calipers the bike carries; each box covers one.
Road Approval
We do not hold a German ABE or test documents for AGPA112ZXC. These pads are intended for motorsport use.
