DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's AGPA106 front plate for the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR of 2020 to 2025 is also available in the ZXC ceramic racing mixture. This set is for owners and teams who use a Brutale on circuits and want to compare a ceramic racing compound with EV2 during practice. For road riding, the Sintered or EV1 versions are the better fit.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA106 for the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR, 2020 to 2025
- ZXC ceramic racing mixture, SKU AGPA106ZXC
- Accossato: a ceramic compound ideal for racing
- An alternative to EV2 on track
- For comparing compounds during practice
- Circuit use only
- ST, EV1 and EV2 also produced on this plate
- No ABE on file with us; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
ZXC is Accossato's ceramic racing compound, which the maker considers ideal for competition. It offers a different character from EV2, and the choice between them is a matter of rider preference and circuit. Accossato also mentions slow wear, limited heat against fade and strong stopping for its pads.
Circuit Work on a Brutale
A Brutale 1000 RR on a circuit is fast and demanding, and small changes in the brake set-up can make a noticeable difference. Riders and teams who run the bike regularly on track can use practice to compare ZXC and EV2, noting how the bike behaves under hard braking and how the lever feels after several laps. Base the choice on those notes.
Change pads with the calipers cool, clean the pistons first and bed the new set in with progressively harder stops during the first laps.
Documenting Choices
Write down the pad used at each circuit, the conditions and the rider's comments. That record makes future decisions faster.
On a naked bike the rider's body takes the full wind blast on the straight, which makes it harder to stay relaxed on the brakes. Many Brutale track riders find that a lever position slightly lower than on the road, together with a pad they know well, lets them brake with less tension in the arms. Whatever compound you settle on, give yourself enough laps to learn it properly.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues the Brutale 1000 RR, 2020 to 2025, with the AGPA106 plate at the front and AGPA42 at the rear. No Accossato disc appears for the bike. The front brake uses two calipers, so two boxes are required.
Road Approval
We do not have ABE or German approval papers for AGPA106ZXC. It is sold for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
