DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's ZXC ceramic racing compound gives competitors another choice when setting up the front brake of a race bike. This version fits the front caliper of the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber for the model years 2016 to 2017 and 2019 to 2020. It is intended for circuit use only, as an alternative race pad to test in practice.
Key Features
- ZXC ceramic racing front pads for the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber
- Model years 2016 to 2017 and 2019 to 2020
- Accossato: ceramic compound ideal for racing
- An alternative feel for set-up testing
- Designed to control heat and fade
- Two pads per box, one caliper
- Rear pad AGPA28 and disc DKS032 listed
Construction and Material Quality
With ZXC, Accossato adds a ceramic-based option to its racing line-up, giving teams a different brake character to evaluate. The design goals match the rest of the range: grip that stays steady, temperatures that stay manageable and a pad that does not wear away quickly under competition use.
Testing a Custom Race Bike
A race-prepared V9 Bobber has its own quirks: a low centre of gravity, a wide front tyre and a longer wheelbase than a sports bike. How the front brake bites and releases affects how the bike turns in. Try the ZXC pads for one practice session, keep everything else unchanged and compare the feel at the hardest stop and the release into slow corners with your usual pads. Note lap times too, and choose based on the evidence.
Swapping Pads
Change pads only on a cool caliper, clean the pistons before pushing them back and pump the lever until it is firm. Complete an out lap with progressive stops before pushing hard, and keep the removed set labelled in case you want to return to it.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the front brake of the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber, 2016 to 2017 and 2019 to 2020, with no Accossato fitment for 2018. The listing includes the V9 850 Bobber and the V9 850 Bobber Sport. One box per caliper; check your bike before ordering. The pad is also available as OR, ST, EV1 and EV2. Accossato lists rear pad AGPA28 and disc DKS032 for this bike.
Road Approval
We hold no German ABE or test documentation for these pads; they are offered for racing and competition.
