DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some riders build their Moto Guzzi Griso SE 8V 1200 into a dedicated circuit machine, and for them Accossato's ceramic mixture is worth a look. This is front pad AGPA96 in the ZXC ceramic racing compound, a friction material Accossato positions squarely for competition. It suits teams and privateers who fine-tune their brake set-up across practice and race sessions. The catalogue lists this plate for the Griso 1200 8V from 2007 to 2016.

Construction and Material Quality
ZXC is Accossato's ceramic racing compound, described by the manufacturer as ideal for competition. It is intended for bikes that spend their time on a circuit, where brake temperature climbs quickly and stays high through a session. Accossato, founded in Moncalieri near Turin in 1969, positions it as an alternative to its EV2 racing pad for riders who prefer the character of a ceramic mixture. As with its other pads, Accossato highlights low wear, limited heat build-up and good fade resistance.
Tuning the Brakes in the Pit Box
Circuit riders rarely leave a brake set-up alone. Between sessions, note how the lever feels at the first marker, whether the pads have worn evenly and how the discs look. With a ceramic racing pad the Griso's front end can be dialled in over a weekend: lever position, pad bedding and fluid all play a part. Clean the pistons each time the pads come out, and keep the discs spotless.
Road riders will find the OR and ST versions of the same plate more suitable, with EV1 as a crossover option.
Fitment and Compatibility
The ZXC version of AGPA96 is catalogued by Accossato for the Griso 1200 8V from 2007 to 2016, listed here as the Griso SE 8V 1200. The front end of the Griso has two calipers, so a full set requires two boxes. The rear wheel takes Accossato AGPA29, listed from 2007 to 2019. Always compare the new pads against the old ones before fitting and change them axle by axle.
Road Approval
We have not been provided with approval or test documentation (such as a German ABE) for this pad, so it is offered for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
