DescriptionThe whole story▼
Within the AGPA106 range for the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO of 2022, the ZXC ceramic racing compound is the one for the most committed competitors. Accossato describes it as a ceramic compound ideal for racing. It suits riders who run tyre warmers, work with a mechanic in the pit lane and tune their EVO step by step over a race weekend.
Key Features
- ZXC ceramic racing front pads, AGPA106ZXC
- For the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO, model year 2022
- Accossato: a ceramic compound ideal for racing
- For riders who tune set-up over a weekend
- Same backing plate as other AGPA106 versions
- Two boxes for the two front calipers
- No ABE; racing only
Construction and Material Quality
According to Accossato, ZXC is a ceramic compound ideal for racing. We stop there and do not add details about its material or temperature range. Across its range, Accossato says its pads limit heat build-up, resist fade and wear slowly. The ceramic friction face is carried on the AGPA106 plate, so it fits without any change to the calipers.
Working with the Pit Crew
Race weekends run on communication between rider and mechanic. After each session, the rider describes how the bike behaved at each corner, and the mechanic decides what to change. Front pad behaviour is part of that feedback: how quickly the bite builds, how the lever feels late in the session, how the front tyre reacts. A ceramic racing compound like ZXC is one of the variables the team can work with.
In the pits, change pads on both calipers at once, clean the pistons before pushing them back and pump the lever until it is firm before the EVO leaves the garage. Keep a record of how many sessions each set has done, and check the discs carefully between races. If the rider reports that the lever feels different late in a session, the notebook and a close look at the pad faces are where the mechanic starts before touching anything else on the EVO.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA106 for the front of the KTM 1290 Super Duke R EVO in model year 2022, with two boxes needed for both calipers. For the rear, the Accossato AGPA42 is listed for the same year.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or approval mark for these ceramic front pads; they are sold for closed-circuit racing.
Scope of Delivery
One box containing two AGPA106 ZXC pads, for one front caliper.
