DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato also makes its AGPA109 front pad for the Kawasaki ZX-4R 400 of 2023 to 2026 in the ZXC ceramic racing mixture. This option is for racers and race schools running the ZX-4R 400 on circuits, where pads are changed often and compared session by session. A ceramic compound gives the rider a different feel to the EV2 pad, and some riders prefer it on certain tracks.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls ZXC a ceramic compound that is ideal for racing. It is an alternative to EV2, not a replacement, and the right choice depends on rider preference and circuit. The company, now based in Villastellone near Turin, also highlights low wear, fade resistance through limited heat and strong braking for its pads.
Race Schools and Club Teams
Race schools running the ZX-4R 400 put many riders on the same bikes over a season. Pads have to cope with different riding styles and a lot of laps. Club teams, on the other hand, want to fine-tune one bike for one rider. In both cases, having ZXC as an option allows direct comparison with other compounds and a choice based on experience rather than guesswork.
Keep a record of each pad set: when it was fitted, how many sessions it ran and how the riders described it. That helps plan the pad budget for the next season.
Fitting Notes
Change pads with the calipers cool, clean the pistons first and bed in the new set with a few controlled stops before pushing hard.
Fitment and Compatibility
Both the standard ZX-4R 400 (2023 to 2026) and the SE edition sold in 2023 and 2024 take the AGPA109 plate at the front, according to the Italian catalogue. The disc offered for the model is DKS080, while a rear pad is not part of this listing. Since a box equips a single caliper, confirm the number of calipers on your machine first.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German test documents for AGPA109ZXC. It is sold for competition purposes.
