DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's ZXC is a ceramic racing compound, and on the Kawasaki ZX-10 R of 2016 to 2026 it comes on the AGPA106 front plate. This set is for teams and privateers who work on their bike between every session, compare notes with the rider and change the set-up to suit the track as the weekend goes on. It belongs on a machine that lives in the paddock.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA106 for the Kawasaki ZX-10 R, 2016 to 2026
- ZXC ceramic racing mixture, SKU AGPA106ZXC
- Accossato calls it a ceramic compound ideal for racing
- An alternative for teams testing different compounds
- Made for session-by-session work in the pit box
- Pure circuit use
- ST, EV1 and EV2 also available on this plate
- No ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes ZXC as a ceramic mixture that is ideal for racing. The company does not claim it replaces EV2; it is a different racing option, and teams often try both to see which one the rider prefers on a given circuit. Accossato's general claims for its pads are low wear, restrained heat build-up to fight fade and strong braking force.
Working in the Pit Box
During a race weekend, the pads are one of many variables a crew can adjust on a ZX-10 R. Some riders want a sharper initial bite, others want more modulation at the end of braking. Running ZXC in one session and comparing it with notes from earlier outings gives the rider a clear basis for the choice. Swap pads only on a cool caliper, and log which set was used in each session.
Keep a spare box in the pit box, check the pad face for glazing after every run, and wipe the discs with clean cleaner before the bike goes back out. A tidy log of compound, track temperature and rider comments makes the next visit to the same circuit much easier.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA106 for the front of the 2016 to 2026 ZX-10 R and the Special Edition of 2018 to 2022. The earlier ZX-10 R, built from 2008 to 2015, takes AGPA109, and the rear pad is AGPP39. Discs DK235 and DKS041 are also catalogued. The bike has two front calipers; buy two boxes.
Road Approval
We do not have an ABE or any German test documents for AGPA106ZXC, so it is sold for use in racing.
Scope of Delivery
Two ZXC ceramic racing pads, enough for one front caliper.
