DescriptionThe whole story▼
For a Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe that has become a dedicated race bike, Accossato offers the AGPA109 front pad in its ZXC ceramic racing compound, listed for the Cafe from 2018 to 2021. The ceramic mix is chosen by racers who work through a structured plan over a race weekend, testing and adjusting their bike session by session, and who want the front pads to be part of that plan rather than an afterthought.
Key Features
- ZXC ceramic racing compound, front position
- Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe, 2018 to 2021
- Intended for circuit racing only
- Designed to limit fade under racing loads
- Low wear in competition, per Accossato
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- Same pad shape in three other compounds
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato labels ZXC ceramic racing a ceramic compound ideal for racing, a description that makes its home the circuit. The pad is developed for riders who brake at the limit lap after lap. Accossato also aims for slow wear, a long life and restrained heating in its pads, which together help keep fade from creeping in late in a session on a heavy café racer.
Plan, Test, Adjust
Race teams with a Z900RS Cafe work to a plan. Fresh ZXC ceramic racing pads go in before the weekend and are bedded in during the first practice. After each outing, the rider describes the brake in the main braking zones and the crew notes pad wear, disc condition and lever travel. Adjustments follow, one change at a time, so their effect is clear. By the race, the rider should know the brake well enough to use it without thinking. Keep spares, cleaner and cloths in the pit box, and wipe the discs if they pick up oil or rubber.
Between Events
After the weekend, check how much material is left and decide whether the pads will last another event or should be replaced.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's catalogue lists this pad for the front of the Z 900 RS CAFE (2018-2021). With two front calipers, the bike needs two boxes per change; racers usually keep a spare pair. Accossato lists the AGPP88 as the rear pad and the DK236 as the disc. The AGPA109 is also produced as ST, EV1 and EV2.
Road Approval
These pads have no ABE or test mark available to us, which is why we list them for racing and competition use.
