DescriptionThe whole story▼
For racers who run a Kawasaki Z900 SE and plan every detail of their setup, Accossato offers the AGPA177 front pad in its ZXC ceramic racing compound. It is listed for the SE from 2022 to 2026. The ceramic mix is for a bike that lives in a race paddock, where the crew talks through brake feel after every session and adjusts the machine step by step over a weekend.
Key Features
- ZXC ceramic racing compound, front position
- Kawasaki Z900 SE, 2022 to 2026
- Intended for circuit racing only
- Designed to limit fade over a session
- Low wear under racing loads, per Accossato
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- Also produced as ST, EV1 and EV2
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's description of ZXC ceramic racing is short: a ceramic compound ideal for racing. That makes its purpose clear. The pad is developed for competition use, where the front brake is worked hard lap after lap. Accossato also claims for its pads a long life, modest wear and limited heat build-up, which together help keep fade away late in a session on a fast naked like the Z900 SE.
A Race Weekend in Small Steps
On a race weekend the Z900 SE is adjusted in small steps. After each session, the rider reports on how the front brake felt entering the key corners, and the crew records pad wear, disc condition and lever travel. The ZXC ceramic racing pads should be bedded in during the first outing so that they have settled by the time qualifying starts. Keep a spare set ready in the pit box, along with cleaner and cloths to wipe the discs if they pick up oil or rubber. Those notes become the starting point for the next event.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA177 for the front of the Z900 SE as Z 900 SE (2022-2026) and Z 900 SE RS (2022-2026). It does not fit the standard Z900, which takes the AGPA38. The SE has two front calipers, so budget two boxes per change plus spares. The listed rear pad is the AGPP185, and the DK236 disc is listed for this bike. The AGPA177 is also produced as ST, EV1 and EV2.
Road Approval
These pads have no ABE or test mark in our documentation, so we offer them for racing and competition use.
