DescriptionThe whole story▼
The ZXC ceramic racing compound is Accossato's answer for riders who treat pad choice as part of chassis setup. This box contains the AGPA109 front pads in that ceramic mix, listed for the Kawasaki Z1000SX from 2011 to 2023. It is a pad for a Z1000SX that lives in a van between race meetings: a bike whose front end is adjusted over the course of a weekend and whose brake feel is discussed in the pit garage as seriously as tyre pressures.
Key Features
- ZXC ceramic racing compound for the front brake
- Listed for the Kawasaki Z1000SX, 2011 to 2023
- Intended for circuit racing, not daily riding
- Temperature kept in check to fight fade over a session
- Designed for low wear under competition loads
- Pair of pads for one caliper
- Same shape offered in three other compounds
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes ZXC ceramic racing as a ceramic compound ideal for racing. The Italian maker develops it for riders who push hard throughout a session and want a pad that keeps its character once it is at temperature. Like its other pads, Accossato claims long life, reduced wear and limited heating to hold fade back. For a racer on the Z1000SX, a big bike with a lot of energy to shed at the end of every straight, a front compound built around track temperatures is the logical choice.
Weekend Setup and Pit Work
Ceramic racing pads reward a structured approach. Bed them in during the first practice session, note lever travel and feedback after each outing and compare those notes with your lap times. Pit work between sessions should include a look at pad thickness, a check of the fluid reservoir and a wipe of the discs if oil or rubber has found its way onto them. Crews that run a Z1000SX in endurance or road-bike classes often keep spare pads ready to change during the weekend, and the ZXC ceramic racing compound fits neatly into that routine.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists these pads for the front of the Kawasaki Z1000SX, 2011 to 2023 (Z 1000 SX 2011-2023). The Z1000SX has two front calipers, so plan on two boxes. The corresponding rear pad is the AGPP102. The AGPA109 shape is also made as ST, EV1 and EV2. Replace pads on the whole axle at once and inspect the discs for grooves.
Road Approval
Without ABE or test mark documentation on file, we list these pads for use in racing and competition only.
Scope of Delivery
