DescriptionThe whole story▼
Of all the combinations in this corner of the catalogue, a ceramic racing material at the front of a long-distance travel bike is the one that raises an eyebrow. Accossato describes the ZXC material simply as a ceramic compound ideal for racing, and it offers the same four materials on the Rally's front pad as on every other machine in the family. AGPA106ZXC is the article, listed for the Multistrada V4 Rally from 2023 to 2026, and it exists because some owners genuinely want it.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, 2023 to 2026
- AGPA106ZXC: the AGPA106 carrier pressed with the ZXC ceramic racing material
- Accossato's ceramic material, placed in racing
- The alternative competition choice next to EV2
- A caliper on each side of the front wheel, so two boxes per change
- Two pads to a box, which is one caliper's set
- ST, EV1 and EV2 press the same carrier
- No German ABE documented; supplied for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The description runs to a single clause and makes no attempt to sell the material to a tourer. What it does is mark a boundary: ceramic, for racing, and the reader can decide whether that describes their weekend. The range keeps a second competition material alongside it, and riders who use both treat them as options rather than as a ranking. Nothing underneath is exotic, since the AGPA106 carrier is the same part that carries the road materials, and a Multistrada V4 Rally accepts it with no further change.
The Least Likely Pad in the Catalogue
Who buys it? Usually somebody who already runs the material on another motorcycle and wants the same thing under their fingers whichever bike they are sitting on. Sometimes an owner preparing for a particular event who has been told what to fit and is not inclined to argue. Occasionally a rider who has tried everything else in the range. None of those is an unreasonable position, and none of them turns a Rally into a race bike.
What matters is being clear about the week afterwards. A competition material asked to do the school run in January is being used outside its brief, and the honest answer is to keep a set of the road material and swap back. If the ceramic pads stay in for a while, look at them often, treat the first outing on a new set as a bedding-in run, and remember that the Multistrada V4 Rally is a heavy machine whose front brake deserves attention whatever is in the calipers.
Fitment and Compatibility
This front article is catalogued for the Multistrada V4 Rally across 2023 to 2026. Each of the two front calipers needs a set, so a complete change is two boxes. Accossato lists the AGPA93 at the rear of the same bike over the same period, and no disc from its programme is offered for this version. The standard V4 and the Pikes Peak are listed separately and should be looked up under their own names.
Road Approval
There is no ABE for the AGPA106ZXC in our documents and no German test report. The pads are competition parts, supplied for closed courses.
Scope of Delivery
Two AGPA106 pads in the ZXC ceramic racing material, boxed as one caliper's set. The front of the Multistrada V4 Rally takes two such boxes.
