Anybody who runs a bike at more than a couple of events ends up with a system: labelled boxes, a note on the lid, one set of pads for the road and another that only ever goes on at the circuit. A Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE used that way spends Saturday on a trailer and Sunday being ridden properly. Accossato's ZXC ceramic racing compound is the circuit half of that arrangement, article AGPA177ZXC on the AGPA177 plate, listed for the front wheel of the RVE from 2020 to 2024.

Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato says about this face is short: ceramic, and made for racing. The way it behaves follows from that. It is deliberate rather than eager while cold and settles into a consistent answer once it has been worked, which is a reasonable bargain on a machine that arrives at the circuit on a trailer and goes out for a warm-up lap anyway. Nothing about the plate changes between articles, so a Hypermotard 950 RVE can be moved from one face to another with ordinary tools.
Two Sets in the Van
Running separate pads for road and circuit is less trouble than it sounds, and it takes a compromise out of both halves. Keep each set in a labelled box with the date and the last event written on the lid, and mark which pad came from which side, because a used pad seats itself against a particular disc and a particular piston. Take a photograph of the caliper before the first change so there is a record of how everything goes back together. Allow time at the track for a set that has just gone on, since new material needs a session to settle before the Hypermotard 950 RVE is asked for anything serious. And carry a torque wrench, because the fasteners that hold a front brake together are no place for guesswork.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Hypermotard 950 RVE has its own entry in Accossato's list, where the AGPA177 covers the front wheel for 2020 to 2024. Each box fills one caliper, and there are two at that wheel, so a circuit set means ordering a pair of boxes. The rear of the RVE takes the AGPA42 across the same years. Accossato also lists a disc for this model, the DKS053, if a hard season has taken its toll.
Road Approval
Our records show no German ABE for the AGPA177ZXC and no other certificate. It is sold as a racing part and belongs on a circuit.
