DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato PDVM is VM Racing's 2024 radial fork lug kit, machined from billet with a 20 mm offset that VM Racing sets specifically for supermoto use. It replaces the fork's standard cross or enduro fork feet with a radial mount and introduces a quick-release wheel pin, so the external fixing nut used on earlier designs is no longer needed; the pin is simply screwed in from the left side, in the manner VM Racing compares to supersport bikes, rather than having both ends loosened. It is sold by fork type and is built to be plug-and-play on the forks it lists.
Key Features
- Radial fork lug kit, CNC-machined from billet, VM Racing 2024 design
- 20 mm offset, which VM Racing says gives more precision and stability than standard cross/enduro pins
- Quick-release wheel pin, screwed in from the left side only, no external fixing nut
- Radial caliper mount can be swapped between 100 mm left, 108 mm left or double 100 mm
- Prepared for double-disc fitment
- Also fits as a universal Honda or KTM open supermoto stem mount (2000–2007)
- Clamp width available in 200 mm or 207 mm (original SMR, FS)
Construction and Material Quality
VM Racing machines the PDVM's fork feet from billet, and the kit is built around the fork actually fitted to the bike, offered as a variant for KYB 48, Showa 49, WP AER 48 (as used on the SX, SX-F and SMR from 2016 to 2024) or WP XPLOR (2014 to 2023). Because there is no longer an external fixing nut on the wheel pin, VM Racing says only one side needs to be screwed rather than both pins being loosened and retightened, which it presents as a quicker wheel change in the style of supersport bikes.
Interchanging the Radial Mount
VM Racing describes the radial caliper mount on the PDVM as interchangeable according to the caliper's own centre distance, available as a 100 mm left mount, a 108 mm left mount or a double 100 mm mount for a two-caliper, double-disc front end. The kit is supplied with a 22 mm wheel axle set for the WP and KYB forks and a 20 mm axle for the Showa 49, together with VM axle spacers, and, on the WP variant only, a wheel centring bushing and a disc centring flange; fasteners are included throughout.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the PDVM against the KYB 48, WP AER 48 (SX, SX-F and SMR, 2016–2024), WP XPLOR (2014–2023) and Showa 49 forks, chosen as a variant at the time of ordering, and also notes a universal Honda or KTM open supermoto stem mount for 2000 to 2007 models; none of these are currently listed in our garage, so the exact fork and clamp width, 200 mm or 207 mm for original SMR and FS models, should be confirmed against the bike or checked with us before ordering.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE for the PDVM; this kit belongs to a supermoto conversion built for the racetrack and competition use rather than registered road use. Both the steering and the braking system are safety-relevant, so fitting by a qualified workshop is recommended.
Scope of Delivery
1x Accossato PDVM radial fork lug kit for the selected fork, radial mount and clamp width, with wheel axle kit, VM axle spacers and fasteners; WP variant also includes wheel centring bushing and disc centring flange.
