DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special is a bike people look at, and its owners tend to notice details. Parked outside a café, a Special gets studied from every angle, and the footpegs are part of that view. Small as they are, footpegs are also among the few parts of a motorcycle that you touch on every ride. Accossato's touring footpeg FT102, listed for the Scrambler 1100 Special of 2018 to 2019, is a CNC-machined aluminium part in black anodising with a red insert, and it has a notch for boot grip.
Key Features
- Touring footpegs for the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special, 2018–2019
- CNC-machined aluminium
- Black anodised surface, red insert
- Notch for a secure hold of the boot
- Front and rear sets, sold separately
- Replace the original footpegs
- No German ABE on record; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Machined aluminium looks different from cast or pressed metal: the surfaces are crisp, the edges defined, and an anodised finish gives it an even colour. The FT102 is made in that way. Accossato shapes each peg on CNC machines, anodises it black and adds a red insert. The grip comes from a notch that Accossato designed to hold the boot more firmly. Accossato, founded in 1969, is an Italian company like Ducati, which gives the combination a certain logic for owners who like their parts to share an origin.
Details for the Parked Bike
Look at a Scrambler 1100 Special from the side and your eye follows a few strong lines: the tank, the seat, the exhaust, the wheels. The footpegs sit low in that picture, close to the engine cases, and they come into view whenever someone crouches for a closer look at the engine. Black anodising keeps them from competing with the bike's main shapes, while the red insert adds a small point of colour. Whether that red suits your Special depends on its paint and on the other parts you have changed, so look at the whole bike before you decide. Some owners replace only the front pegs, which the rider sees on every ride; others fit the rear set too, so that all four match. Because Accossato sells them separately, you can start with one set and add the second later.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the FT102 for the Scrambler 1100 Special of 2018 and 2019. Front and rear footpegs are separate items. Fitting should be done by a workshop using Ducati's specified tightening values and thread locker where required, and afterwards the Special's gear lever and brake pedal should still be comfortable to operate with the new pegs.
Road Approval
The FT102 has no ABE or parts certificate on file with us, so we treat it as a track part. For road riding in Germany, keep the Special's approved original footpegs.
