DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro was built for riders who leave the tarmac behind: spoked wheels, longer suspension travel and a large tank for long stretches between fuel stops. Its footpegs have to cope with mud, wet grass and boot soles caked in clay. Accossato offers its FT102 touring footpegs for the Multistrada 1200 Enduro of 2016 to 2019. They are CNC-machined aluminium, anodised black with a red insert, and a notch in the peg increases the grip of the boot.

Construction and Material Quality
The FT102 is a machined part: Accossato shapes the aluminium on CNC equipment, anodises it black and adds a red insert. The grip comes from a notch that Accossato designed to give the rider's boot more hold. Accossato, with an Enduro world championship title from 1985 in its history, calls this part a touring footpeg, and that is an honest description of its purpose; it is not presented as an off-road peg. Before replacing the Enduro's original pegs, compare the two and decide which suits the way you ride.
Mud in the Tread, Mud on the Peg
Off the road, grip at the footpegs depends on two surfaces: the peg and the sole. After a muddy section on the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, the tread of your boots is often packed full, and on a smooth peg that layer of clay acts like soap. A notch gives the peg an edge that can cut through the mud to the sole underneath, but only if the notch itself is not filled. Before riding on after a muddy stop, knock your boots against each other or scrape them on a rock, and clear the pegs with a stick or a brush. At the end of the day, rinse the pegs with water; hard brushes and harsh chemicals are unnecessary and can dull an anodised finish. On long gravel roads, keep your knees soft and your weight on the pegs rather than the seat, so the bike can move beneath you.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the FT102 for the Multistrada 1200 Enduro of 2016 to 2019, including the Enduro Touring, the Enduro Pro of 2018 and versions for the US and Thai markets; only the Thai Enduro appears for 2019. The front and rear sets are sold separately. Have a workshop fit the pegs to Ducati's tightening values, with thread locker where required, and check the gear lever and brake pedal positions for riding both seated and standing.
Road Approval
Neither a general operating permit (ABE) nor a parts certificate is documented for the FT102 in Germany, so these footpegs are sold for track use and not for public roads.
