DescriptionThe whole story▼
Off the trailer and straight onto a paddock stand is how most S1000R trackdays start, and Accossato's uncovered M8 bobbins give the swingarm the fixed points a fork-style stand needs to lift the bike cleanly. Machined from aluminium and anodised in a choice of seven colours, the pair threads directly into the swingarm's mounting holes, which on this naked bike sit in plain view rather than behind bodywork, so the finish chosen at checkout stays visible every time the bike is parked.

Construction and Material Quality
Aluminium, anodised in seven colours, blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium and gold, and threaded M8 to suit the S1000R's swingarm, this bobbin follows the same build as the rest of Accossato's stand range. The thread is the dimension Accossato specifies for fitment, and it depends on the swingarm itself carrying matching holes, which is worth checking before ordering.
Trailer Ramp to Paddock Stand
Getting an S1000R off a trailer and settled on a stand depends on the swingarm offering somewhere reliable to lift from, and a fork-style stand located on two bobbins does that more consistently than one balanced against the swingarm's bare casting. With the bike up and the front wheel off the ground as well, tyre warmers can go on and the rest of the pit setup can continue without the bike needing a second look until it is time to ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
This uncovered bobbin fits the BMW S 1000 R built between 2009 and 2016. Its M8 thread is common enough to reach well past BMW: the S1000RR, three Honda models in the CB1000R, CBR1000RR and CBR600RR, five Kawasaki Z and ZX machines, and the Suzuki GSR750 all share it. AD017, the fork preload adjuster, and ST008, the rubber-protected version, are also listed for this S1000R.
Road Approval
No test or approval paperwork, including an ABE, is held for this bobbin, so it is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The pack holds two bobbins, one per side, in the colour chosen at checkout. No stand or fitting tools travel with the pack.
