DescriptionThe whole story▼
Where the RR sits on a stand between sessions, a rubber-protected bobbin saves the anodised finish from the repeated knock of a stand's forks, and Accossato's version keeps the same M6 thread as its uncovered counterpart while wrapping the contact point in rubber. On a bike built for the circuit, that distinction shows up less in how the bobbin works and more in how it still looks after a full season of being lifted, lowered and lifted again in the same spot.
Key Features
- Swingarm stand bobbins for the Aprilia RSV4 RR, 2015-2019
- M6 thread, with rubber protection
- Aluminium, anodised finish, rubber sleeve on the bobbin
- Sold as a pair, one bobbin per side
- Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
- Also fits other applications with an M6 swingarm thread
- ST001 offers the same bobbin without rubber protection
- No German ABE on file; offered for track use
Construction and Material Quality
This bobbin shares its aluminium body, M6 thread and seven-colour anodised range, blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium and gold, with the uncovered ST001, the only addition being the rubber sleeve fitted where the paddock stand's forks make contact. Accossato builds both to the same dimensions, so a rider choosing between them is deciding on protection and looks rather than on fit.
Resale and Tidy Condition
A swingarm with scuffed stand bobbins is one of the small things a buyer notices when looking over a used RR, even if the rest of the bike is kept well, because the marks sit at eye level next to the chain and sprocket. Rubber protection does not stop a bike from being used hard, but it does mean the bobbins themselves are less likely to carry visible wear by the time the bike changes hands, which is a detail that costs little to get right early on.
Fitment and Compatibility
This bobbin covers the RSV4 1000 RR built between 2015 and 2018, the Euro 4 version with ABS from 2019, and the Race Pack of 2015. It is the M6 thread, not the RR badge, that decides most of the rest of its fitment: the standard RSV4, the RSV4 1100, the Tuono V4 1100 line, the Benelli Leoncino 500 and 500 Trail, the Ducati Panigale 899 and 959, and three Yamaha nakeds all take the identical bobbin. ST001, the uncovered version, and the two RR preload adjusters AD017 and AD022, complete the Accossato range for this bike.
Road Approval
No test or approval paperwork, including an ABE, sits in our files for this bobbin, so it is offered for racing and competition use. The rubber sleeve changes nothing about that status.
Scope of Delivery
Two rubber-protected bobbins are supplied, one per side, in the colour chosen at checkout. No stand, tool or mounting kit comes with the pack.
