An MT-10 loaded for a trip, or ridden through the wet months, needs a rear brake that does not change its character with the weather. Accossato's AGPP88ST is the sintered rear pad for the Yamaha MT-10 from 2016 to 2024, including the Tourer Edition. It is designed to keep a high, constant grip level at any temperature and to grip well on a wet disc, which suits riders who travel far, carry a passenger or ride year-round.

Construction and Material Quality
This AGPP88 rear pad uses Accossato's sintered compound. The company describes grip that remains high and steady at low and high temperatures and holds up on a wet disc. On a touring MT-10, where the rear brake might be idle on a motorway and then needed suddenly on a wet descent, that stability is its main strength.
The Rear Brake on a Loaded MT-10
With luggage and a passenger, a good share of the MT-10's weight sits over the rear wheel, and the rear brake can do more work than usual. Using it on long descents and in rain helps keep the bike stable and eases the load on the front tyre. A sintered pad keeps the pedal consistent through temperature changes and wet conditions. Before a long trip, check the pad material and the age of the fluid. In winter, grit and road salt wear pads faster, so check them more often and clean the caliper after messy rides so the piston slides freely.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPP88 for the rear of the Yamaha MT-10 across 2016 to 2024, including the Tourer Edition, and the AGPA97 for the front. A single box is enough for the rear. Clean the piston before retracting it, check the disc, and look at the fluid. Accossato lists no discs for this model. Pump the pedal until firm and bed in with moderate stops.
Road Approval
No German ABE or approval documents for the AGPP88ST are in our files, so the pad is offered for track and competition purposes.
