AGPA92ST is Accossato's Sintered rear pad for the Triumph Thunderbird, listed for 2009 to 2018. It is designed for owners who tour: a passenger on the pillion, hard cases or saddlebags, and days that pass through rain, cold and heat. On a loaded cruiser the rear brake does a larger share of the work, and a pad that responds consistently in every condition is exactly what this compound is intended to provide.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says the Sintered compound holds a high, uniform grip level at both high and low temperatures and grips well on a wet disc. For the rear of a touring Thunderbird, that consistency makes the brake easy to judge on every stop. The maker also designs its pads to wear slowly and to resist fade.
Luggage, Passenger, Rain
With two people and luggage aboard, a Thunderbird puts a lot of weight over the rear wheel, and the rear brake can do meaningful work on each stop. On a wet descent, a steady pressure on the pedal helps keep the bike settled while the front brake does the rest. That only works if the rear pad responds consistently. The Sintered compound is aimed at that, from the first spring tour to the last autumn weekend. It is equally at home on the long motorway stretches that link one touring region to the next, where the brake is used rarely but must work immediately when traffic slows.
Touring Maintenance
Before a long trip, check pad thickness, fluid level and the condition of the rear disc. After wet days, rinse off the grime.
Fitment and Compatibility
In Accossato's list, the rear pad AGPA92 covers the original 1600 Thunderbird of 2009 to 2018 and, for 2014 to 2018, the Thunderbird 1700 in Commander, LT and Nightstorm form. The front pad for these years is AGPA58. One box covers the single rear caliper. Clean the pistons before pushing them back, check the fluid and pump the pedal before setting off.
Road Approval
AGPA92ST comes without a German ABE or a test mark; we sell it for racing and competition use.
