DescriptionThe whole story▼
Two-up riding changes how a Triumph Street Triple 765 R LOW brakes. With a passenger on board, more weight sits over the rear wheel, and the rear brake can do a larger share of the work, especially on wet or downhill roads. For owners who regularly ride with a pillion or in poor weather, Accossato lists the AGPP91 rear pad in Sintered (ST) compound, fitting the 765 R LOW from 2017 to 2023.
Key Features
- AGPP91 rear pads for the Triumph Street Triple 765 R LOW, 2017 to 2023
- Sintered (ST) compound, article AGPP91ST
- Aimed at two-up riding and wet roads
- Accossato cites grip that holds steady at any temperature
- Also strong on a wet disc, according to the maker
- One box per bike for the rear caliper
- No German ABE; supplied for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
According to Accossato, the ST recipe keeps a high and stable level of grip in both heat and cold and grips well on a wet disc. With a passenger adding load to the rear, that steadiness helps the rider judge the pedal. The sintered layer is mounted on the AGPP91 plate for the 765 R LOW rear caliper, and Accossato adds long life and resistance to fade to its general list of aims.
Riding With a Passenger
A pillion shifts the balance of the bike rearward, so the rear tyre can accept more braking force than it can when riding solo. Using the rear brake a little earlier and more firmly than usual, then adding the front, keeps the bike level and makes stops smoother for the passenger. A pad with a consistent feel supports that. Before a two-up trip, check that the rear pads have ample material, and adjust suspension preload if the bike allows it.
After a Wet Ride
Rain and spray push grit into the rear caliper. A rinse with clean water after the ride, followed by a look at the pads once dry, keeps wear even. At replacement time clean the piston, fit both pads together and pump the pedal until firm before carrying a passenger again.
Fitment and Compatibility
In the Accossato catalogue the AGPP91 is the rear pad for Street Triple 765 R LOW models from 2017 to 2023. One box renews the rear. The same years take the AGPA177 at the front, and no Accossato disc for this version is listed on our sheet. OR and STMX are made on the same rear plate.
Road Approval
Because we have not received test documents or a German ABE, this pad is listed for competition and track use.
Scope of Delivery
Two AGPP91 rear pads in Sintered (ST), enough for the single rear caliper.
