DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Triumph Bonneville T120 loaded for a long trip, with a passenger and luggage, puts more load on its rear brake. Accossato's AGPA76 rear pad in the Sintered compound is designed for that kind of riding. It is listed for every T120 from 2016 to 2023, including the ACE, and aims to keep the pedal feel steady in cold, heat and rain alike.
Key Features
- AGPA76 rear pads for the Triumph Bonneville T120, 2016 to 2023
- Also fits the T120 ACE, 2019 to 2020
- Sintered compound, reference AGPA76ST
- Accossato: grip level high and constant across temperatures
- Good performance on a wet disc
- Steady pedal with a passenger and luggage
- The alternative is the OR compound
- No approval documents available, competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato states that its Sintered mixture holds a high, constant grip at both low and high temperatures and works well in wet conditions. On the rear of a touring T120, that gives a pedal that does not change its feel as the weather changes or as the brake warms up on a long downhill.
Touring Two-Up on the T120
Many T120 owners ride with a partner and a set of soft bags on long weekends. With that extra weight over the rear wheel, the rear brake becomes a useful partner to the front, especially on descents and in wet conditions. A sintered rear pad keeps its bite in the rain and does not fade as quickly when used for a long time. It is a good match for riders who keep the T120 on the road in autumn and winter too, when the rear wheel throws up the most water and grit.
Fitting Advice
Change both rear pads together, clean the pistons before pressing them back, check the disc and replace old fluid. After fitting, press the pedal until it is firm and bed the pads in gently.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA76 for the rear of the Bonneville 1200 T120 from 2016 to 2023 and for the T120 ACE from 2019 to 2020. The front pads are AGPA72 for 2016 to 2020 and AGPA29 for 2021 to 2023. Accossato also lists the DK203 disc for the T120.
Road Approval
No ABE or German test certificate is available for AGPA76ST, and it is supplied for track use.
