DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa used for touring often carries a passenger and soft luggage over long distances, in all weather. On wet descents, the rear brake helps keep the heavy bike stable. AGPP148 in the Sintered (ST) mixture is Accossato's rear pad for the Hayabusa from 2008 to 2026, designed for riders who want a rear brake with consistent feel in the cold, in the heat and in the rain.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa, 2008 to 2026
- Sintered compound, SKU AGPP148ST
- High, constant grip at all temperatures, per Accossato
- Good grip on wet roads
- For two-up touring and long descents
- Front pad AGPA106 listed
- One box for the single rear caliper
- Competition use; no German approval on file
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says its Sintered compound keeps a high and constant grip whether cold or hot and grips well in the wet. For the rear of a heavy tourer, that means predictable behaviour whatever the conditions. Accossato also cites slow wear, controlled heating with little fade, and strong stopping.
Two-Up on a Wet Pass
With a passenger on board, a Hayabusa has more weight over the rear wheel, and the rear brake becomes more effective. On a wet mountain descent, using it to trim speed before hairpins keeps the chassis settled and spares the front tyre. A rear pad that keeps its grip in rain makes the pedal feel familiar in every bend. Before a tour, check the rear pads and disc, look at the fluid in the rear reservoir, and fit new pads early enough to bed them in on normal rides. On the road, glance at the pads at fuel stops, especially after long wet days. If you travel far on the Hayabusa, a spare rear set takes up almost no space in a tail pack.
Fitment and Compatibility
The rear AGPP148 is catalogued by Accossato for the Hayabusa across 2008 to 2026, a longer span than the front AGPA106, which starts in 2013. Only one caliper works at the back, so one box re-equips it completely. Riders who spend more time in town than on tour can choose the Organic version of this rear pad.
Road Approval
We cannot provide an ABE or German approval certificate for AGPP148ST, so it is offered for motorsport use.
