With a passenger, a top box and a pair of panniers, a Suzuki DL800 V-Strom SE puts a lot of weight over its rear wheel, and the rear brake becomes a real tool rather than an afterthought. AGPP88 in the Sintered (ST) mixture is Accossato's rear pad for the DL800 V-Strom SE from 2024 to 2026. It is made for touring riders who travel two-up, ride in all seasons and want the rear brake to feel the same in rain and sunshine.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says its Sintered compound keeps a high and constant grip whether it is cold or hot and works well on wet roads. On a rear brake that is often used to steady a loaded bike, especially on descents, that dependable behaviour is the main benefit. Accossato also points to good durability.
Balancing a Loaded Bike
With two people and luggage on the V-Strom SE, a light touch on the rear brake before the front helps to settle the bike and keep it from pitching forward. On long descents, the rear takes some of the work off the front calipers. In the rain, gentle rear braking helps keep the bike stable. A sintered pad supports all of that with a steady feel. Before a trip, check the thickness of the rear pads and the state of the fluid, and look at the disc for scoring. During the journey, avoid resting your foot on the pedal, which warms the pads unnecessarily and wears them faster. At a fuel stop, a quick look at the rear caliper for leaks or dirt takes only a moment.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP88 for the rear caliper of the DL 800 V-Strom SE from 2024 to 2026, with AGPA38 as the front pad. The rear plate also comes in the Organic compound for mainly urban riding.
Road Approval
We do not have an ABE or German approval for AGPP88ST, so the pads are offered for racing.
