DescriptionThe whole story▼
Wet trails expose the rear brake more than the front: the rear disc sits low, catches water from every puddle and spends much of the ride coated in wet dirt. For the Sherco SE 125 from 2017 to 2019, catalogued as SE 125 R, Accossato lists rear pad AGPP80, and the Sintered mixture aims to keep the pedal responsive and consistent through rain, cold and changing temperatures.
Key Features
- Rear pad AGPP80 for Sherco SE 125, 2017 to 2019
- Sintered mixture, article number AGPP80ST
- Accossato: high, constant grip hot or cold
- Quick bite after water crossings
- Even pedal through long wet rides
- Good choice for all-season riding
- OR and STMX also offered
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's promise for the Sintered compound is a high, stable grip across temperatures and good performance on a wet disc. For a rear brake that is splashed constantly, this is useful: the pedal keeps its bite without a delay after each puddle. Accossato also claims low wear, reduced fade from limited heating and strong stopping power.
Rain, Puddles and Cold Starts
An SE 125 ridden in autumn and winter spends hours in wet conditions. On each descent the rider leans on the rear brake to keep speed in check, and a pad that works immediately when wet makes those descents calmer.
Cold is the other factor. Early in the morning the rear disc may be close to freezing, and some compounds feel wooden until they warm. A sintered pad gives a similar response from the first metre of the ride.
Maintenance after wet rides is simple: rinse, dry, inspect. Replace the pads before the friction material is thin, because a wet, gritty environment removes the last part quickly.
Riders who keep the SE 125 going through the whole winter often fit fresh rear pads in autumn, so the bike starts the wet months with plenty of material and a known feel at the pedal.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP80 for the rear brake of the Sherco SE 125 from 2017 to 2019, under the name SE 125 R. The front pad for the bike is AGPA29. Fit both rear pads together, clean the piston before retracting it, check the fluid level and pump the pedal until it is firm.
Road Approval
We do not hold an ABE or any German test certificate for this pad. It is intended for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
